IG Photography,

based in the hills of Castlereagh, was brought to life late 2010. Having gathered a small portfolio of rental properties, and while using local estate agents to market these  - we had been supplied with less than average photographic results, we thought, here, we could do better! After purchasing an entry level Canon 1000d, a wide angle lens, we went and photographed our own. Having instructed a relatively new independent estate agent to do the legal bits, she liked what she seen; now forward to 2023,  we still work with this agent today, capturing stunning images for her estate agency business.

While the rental portfolio may have decreased a little,  IG Photography clients have substantially increased, and now I proudly own two professional cameras and a large amount of gear...nice!

Background, colour, focus, clarity, mood

I trained as a Lithographic Printer, whilst working for some of Northern Ireland's leading commercial print companies producing high end colour magazines, - Ulster Tatler, NI Homes & Lifestyle and various interior design magazines, attention to detail was not just a requirement, but thoroughness and colour accuracy was essential.

Having brought these skills and experience and working alongside these clients together has helped create a craft, that is used in every photographic assignment that is booked today.

Experience, a photo, pic, snap or image?

Photography began as a hobby, capturing images as memories, of where we have been and what we had done. I have been photographing residential properties since 2010, for some of Belfast's & North Down's leading estate agents, having traveled as far as Larne, Dungannon, Portadown and Enniskillen.

Working closely with the agent and vendor, I ensure the capture of their property in its best light, whilst giving the prospective purchaser a true representation of their future home in a story of stunning images.

Any Down Time?

My other passion is getting out, sometimes stupid o'clock!, going into the landscape to capture images most of us take for granted, from sunrises to sunsets and a few waterfalls in between. Head over to my WALL ART page to see if anything takes your fancy! I also volunteer my photographic services for local charities, helping at fundraising events like the Belfast Marathon & PIPS Boxing Nights.

Exposure, made public

I continuously have properties featured in various mediums; The Guild of Property Professionals Magazine, Regional Newspapers, and regularly, images, picked up by local property websites and displayed on their social media. Whilst, I don't get credit for these images, the possible exposure to 230,000+ social media users these make excellent platforms for estate agents with their website links, resulting in potential leads.

sure it's about the likes, comment & shares
